Morning Motivation: How to Start Your Day with Fitness

February 22, 2018

Anyone who knows me knows that I love my sleep and that mornings can be a challenge if I go to bed late.  So, then, how do I train early in the morning?  Here are a few tips that might come in handy next time you’re tempted to hit the snooze button.

  • Commit to it.  Nothing is easier to give up than something you haven’t fully committed to.  Write it in your planner and commit to making it happen.  If you’re feeling wishy-washy the night before then chances are you will feel the same in the morning.

  • Lay our your clothing.  Get everything ready to go the night before… Including your water bottle! This will make everything seem so less daunting.

  • Write down what this means to you and post it on your night stand.  In the wee hours of the morning, our minds can be foggy and going back to sleep seems like the best goal in the world.

  • Go to bed earlier.  Ok, duh, we all know this, but do we actually apply it?  Try to go to bed 15 minutes earlier each night and see how it effects your mornings.

  • Say NO to hitting your snooze button.  This only encourages yourself to get in the habit of laying in bed instead of up and at ’em.  Try to avoid hitting the snooze button at all costs.

I hope these tips work for you!  Let me know, I’d love your feedback on this topic.  Have a great Thursday. Xo
