Blackened Shrimp Tacos

When it comes to flavor, one should never compromise... Am I right? Life is too short to eat boring food! These tacos will blow your tastebuds away. Not only are they bursting with many delicious spices, but they have a great combination of sweet, spicy, creamy and crunchy. Try them out on this {taco} Tuesday night, I promise they won't disappoint!


For the shrimp:

32 pre-cooked shrimp, peeled 

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon mild chile powder
1 teaspoon sweet paprika

Dash of cayenne pepper

Drizzle of olive oil


For the green sauce:

1/2 cup greek yogurt

1 Tablespoon lime juice

2 Tablespoon green onion

1/4 teaspoon garlic, minced

Large bunch of cilantro

Sea salt to taste


Mango salsa:

1 mango, chopped

1/2 jalapeno, minced

1/2 red onion, chopped


The fixings:

Corn tortillas

Cabbage, shredded

Cilantro, chopped


Create green sauce by placing all ingredients in blender and blending until smooth, set aside. Fix mango salsa by tossing all ingredients in a small bowl, set aside. Prepare shrimp by peeling and washing, pat dry with paper towels. Combine shrimp and spices in Ziplock bag. Heat large skillet over medium heat, drizzle olive oil, add shrimp and cook until done (be careful not to overcook). Warm tortillas and fix your taco accordingly. Enjoy!
