Peanut Butter Cup Oatmeal

 Who doesn't crave peanut butter and chocolate? At, you know, seven in the morning... I plead guilty. Therefore, I created this decadent oatmeal. Ripples of peanut buttery bliss along with chocolate and, of course, fiber-ful oats! It's a great hearty breakfast with protein, healthy fats and fiber which will keep you full until lunchtime.

 

This recipe is sure to please not just your health-conscious friends but all PB and chocoholics alike.

Ingredients:

1 cup water

2/3 cup rolled oats

1 scoop peanut butter flavor protein powder

1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips 

1 teaspoon natural peanut butter

1/2 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)

1 protein peanut butter cup (optional) 

 

Recipe:

1. Start by placing oats in a microwavable-safe bowl and adding water. Set microwave for one minute and cook, stopping every 20 seconds to stir. Add more time as needed, until oats become tender and have absorbed half of the water.

2. Remove from microwave and add in the rest of the ingredients minus the protein peanut butter cup. Mix together until fully incorporated and the chocolate chips begin to melt. If the mixture is still runny, heat at 20 second increments until consistency is desired.

3. Crumble protein peanut butter cup and sprinkle over the top. Enjoy!
