Motivation is not something you gain overnight. It is a use it or lose it type of situation. I like to tell my clients that motivation can carry us for a few days but it's HABIT that will carry you on for the long haul. Form habits now, in every facet of your life... every single day.
Start our by choosing one area of your life you wish you have "more" motivation to do. From that build a habit. Example: you want to lose five pounds. Okay, build a habit for the gym. Go every single day after work for three weeks. Don't miss a single day and watch your habit form.
What if you don't feel like going to the gym? Too bad, go anyway! Do you ever have days where you don't want to go to work or a meeting or a party? Once you get up and get there it's usually a lot better, am I right? Moral of the story: just DO IT... even if you don't feel like it.
Motivation will come and go, 90% of the time I do NOT feel like eating healthy or going to the gym. I'm tired, I'm too busy, etc. But I have built habits in my life that keep me going even when my motivation is nonexistent. I can promise you that once you form a habit and stick with it, you will transform.
